The Basics
The court was set up in 2005 to provide expeditious, fair, and just resolution of cases.
Starting at the beginning of 2022, the Ozark Municipal Court has been under the Honorable Judge Bacon’s associate circuit judge of the Christian County Circuit Court Division IV.
As a municipal court, the Ozark Municipal Court has the mission of dispensing justice to persons charged with common assault, stealing, traffic offenses, and city ordinance violations, among many other crimes committed by the citizens of Christian County.
Most of the laws and regulations are enforced by the Board of Aldermen. They have delegated that responsibility to the Christian County Circuit Court, where an Associate Circuit Judge is responsible for hearing and determining cases.
Starting in January 2022, the honorable Judge Bacon will start hearing different cases brought before the Ozark Municipal Court. All Ozark Municipal Court dates for the year 2021 that had been canceled were moved to 2022.

The FCRA requires credit reporting agencies to follow certain procedures when investigating disputes about credit reports.

The FCRA also allows you to get a free credit report from each of the three major credit reporting agencies every year.

Ozark Municipal Court Records
The Ozark Municipal Court in Christian County provides access to court records mostly from their online portal.
Resources for the municipal court, in addition to records and resources applicable to all courts, including the supreme court, are available online.
Some of the links to the resources that you can find on the Ozarks municipal court website include:
- Ozark Municipal Court Case Records – You can search for Ozark Municipal Court case records using the type of violations, defendant, full names, and dates, among others.
- Missouri Case Records – You can search for some Municipal Court and Missouri Circuit Court records online. You may also pay court fees for several types of cases.
- Criminal History Search – Search the database of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. You may have to register and pay fees to access these records.
Records Request
Requests for records are typically provided by the clerk’s office at the Municipal Court. You can typically get a response to a request for records within three days after submitting a request.
Note that if you request older records from the archives, your request may take more time to retrieve.
You will usually have an estimated time from the Court Administrator on when you should expect your request to be fulfilled.
Making a Request
You can usually make your request to the courts by filling out a Records Request Form. Once you have filled out your form, you can deliver it in person to 201 B East Brick, mail it to West Brick, Ozark, MO 65721, send it by email, or fax it to (417) 581-0695.
To ensure that your request is fulfilled, you will need to submit it using the official request records form. You may have to pay a few dollars to make the request.
The Court clerk will typically provide you with all the information on the charges and anything else required upon receiving the records form.
It is critical to be as specific as possible when requesting since this will make retrieval faster.

Ozark Municipal Court Payments
In 2019, the Ozark Municipal Court reformed its record and payments processes by moving to the Show Me Courts system. All cases brought to the court before April 1, 2019, are supposed to be paid through the nCourt system.
The nCourt system allows you as the defendant to pay court costs and fines via a toll-free number or through a site. It is important to remember that payments processed through this method attract a 7% processing fee.
If your case was filed after April 1, 2019, you should make your payments through the Show Me Courts payment system on Casenet. The charges for making payments through Casenet usually have variable fees for processing.
As for payments of fines, the Ozark Municipal Division in Christian County, Missouri, has a schedule of fines set by the Uniform Violations Bureau. The Violations Bureau may accept fines in place of an initial appearance at court.
Offenses listed on the schedule can be set aside before the initial court date usually indicated on your citation. If you have been charged with violations, not on the schedule, you will have to make an appearance in court on or before the date indicated on your citation or summons.
Any violations involving a car accident cannot be payable outside the court and typically require an appearance in the courts.

You can visit the court between Monday and Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, even though the offices are usually not open between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
Also, note that the Clerk’s office at the Municipal Court is closed at noon on Tuesdays and reopens on Wednesdays at 8:30 am.
